The HIV Integrated Community Planning Intern will support the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) by assisting with statewide HIV integrated community planning initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in public health program planning, inter-agency collaboration, community engagement, and evaluation activities aligned with Illinois’ Integrated HIV Plan.
This opportunity is ideal for a motivated, graduate-level student who is passionate about public health, HIV prevention, and community-based initiatives, and who thrives in both independent and collaborative environments.
Must be in good academic standing and currently enrolled in a graduate program in Public Health, Community Health, Health Communication, Health Administration, or a related field.

This internship will be for the Fall 2026 semesters (start and end dates are flexible) and will require a minimum of 20 hours per week.
This is an unpaid internship, but academic credit may be available depending on your institution’s policies and guidelines – please speak with an academic advisor.
