In May 2024, University Payroll & Benefits launched a new, more efficient process for foreign nationals to request a Tax Status Review.
Benefits of New Process
- Eliminates scheduling delays previously experienced with Ability LMS.
- Adapts a first-in, first-out method via FormBuilder for streamlined requests.
- Enables immediate documentation upload at the time of the request.
- Provides a single system for users to enter documentation, submit a request, as well as status tracking.
- Allows foreign national employees to indicate a review is also to determine tax residency status for SURS and health/life/dental insurance eligibility.
How the New Process Works
The required information and documentation remain unchanged; however, the process will be quicker and more seamless. Foreign nationals simply submit their requests, upload documentation, and track progress all in one convenient place.
