If you have an upcoming flight that will last more than 14 hours and you would like to get approval to upgrade this flight, please send us a copy of the draft flight itinerary and the source of funding (CFOP). We will assist with writing the business justification and submit it for your Unit Head’s approval. Once approved, you will be able to purchase the upgraded flight. If the flight is international, it will be submitted to the Dean for approval.
Outside of this, you should continue to purchase air travel in coach/economy class.
Special Note: You may still purchase an upgrade for a flight that does not meet the 14-hour criteria if you obtain an approved accommodation before purchasing the upgraded flight. An accommodation may be sought for issues such as the need for additional legroom on flights, reclining seats, etc.
Please use the link found here to apply for an accommodation. If the accommodation is approved, you can use the approval as justification for the flight upgrade.
