Easy Homemade Chili

Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef
• 1 medium white or yellow onion
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 can diced tomatoes (with juice)
• 1 can kidney beans (drained)
• 1 tbsp chili powder
• 1 tbsp cumin
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp paprika
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil
• Salt and pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil: In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
2. Prepare onions and garlic: Chop the onion and garlic.
3. Brown onions and garlic: Cook the onions until golden brown, then add garlic.
4. Add tomato paste: Stir in the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
5. Cook ground beef: Add the ground beef and cook until fully browned.
6. Add spices: Mix in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, and paprika.
7. Add remaining ingredients: Pour in the diced tomatoes (with juice) and drained kidney beans.
8. Simmer: Bring everything to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes.
9. Season: Add salt and pepper to taste.
10. Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
• Ground beef can be substituted with chicken, turkey, or extra beans for a vegetarian option.
• For more spice, add cayenne pepper.
