This image captures a key milestone in a project focused on improving safety through the use of virtual reality (VR) technology for agricultural driver training sessions. As part of my research on applying artificial intelligence (AI) in agricultural safety, I assisted in collecting data by VR-based safety training. The immersive VR experience allows drivers to navigate simulated work environments, identify hazards, and practice safe operating procedures without real-world risks. My broader research focuses on leveraging AI to mitigate human injuries in agriculture, one of the most hazardous industries worldwide. By integrating AI and VR technologies, this initiative not only enhances situational awareness but also reduces the likelihood of accidents, saving lives and improving operational efficiency. The project exemplifies how cutting-edge technology can transform traditional safety training into an engaging, impactful, and safer alternative while also showcasing the significant contributions of women in engineering to enhance agricultural safety practices.
