South Dakota State University Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry & Physics is offering an exciting career opportunity as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Organic Chemistry (Chemical Biology, Bioorganic Chemistry or Drug Design). We are seeking a dedicated research professional committed to excellence in research, teaching and student success. The ideal candidate will be someone who builds a nationally competitive independent research program that provides training to both undergraduate and graduate students and aligns well with one or more of the strengths that are already present in the department. This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a 9-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. As part of a broader faculty recruitment effort, SDSU is also conducting a parallel search for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Candidates with expertise that bridges both areas are encouraged to review and apply to one or both positions. The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics provides students with a solid foundation in scientific disciplines through challenging coursework, laboratory explorations and research opportunities.
