Penn State’s new Master of Engineering degree in Engineering, Law, and Policy (MELP), will be launched spring/fall 2022. MELP is an interdisciplinary professional degree program available for students with a STEM background, relevant across all engineering and science majors. This is a 1 year program with no GRE requirement. This residential graduate program is flexible and can be tailored to student’s technical, regulatory and policy interests through 9 credits of elective courses with 9 different technical elective areas to choose from, along with general electives across law, science and technology policy. Awards are given to support women undergraduates seeking to study or teach science, mathematics, and/or engineering via the research pathway to graduate studies. Up to $12,000 will be awarded to selected scholars: $5,000 for the fall and spring semesters (At least 10 hours/week doing research) and $7,000 for 10 weeks in the summer (Approximately 30-35 hours/week doing research).
