Happy Spring from the College of Education!
Being part of the Education at Illinois community means sharing in something special—a long‑standing commitment to education that touches lives, strengthens communities, and opens doors for future generations. In this update, you’ll see that spirit reflected in the accomplishments of our students and faculty, the success of our alumni, and the meaningful work taking place across the College of Education.
Your pride in Illinois and your generosity as partners make this progress possible. Because of you, we are preparing outstanding educators, expanding access to vital mental health services, and creating opportunities that have far‑reaching impact. And in just a few short months, we will come together to celebrate our next group of Education at Illinois graduates as they begin the next chapter of their journeys.
That shared sense of pride is also playing out on the national stage, where our Fighting Illini men’s basketball team has captured attention with an unforgettable March Madness run, earning a spot in the Final Four for the first time since 2005. This historic achievement is a moment of pride for students, faculty, alumni, and fans everywhere. As Illinois prepares for Saturday’s matchup against UConn at 5:09 p.m. CT—with a place in the national championship game on the line—the excitement across campus and beyond is electric. We’ll all be cheering on our Everyday Guys as they continue this remarkable journey.
As the university begins its next strategic chapter, we are deeply grateful for your continued connection, support, and belief in our mission. Thank you for being part of the College of Education family and for helping ensure Education at Illinois continues to thrive. Go Illini! I-L-L ...
Yours for Illinois,
Heather Zorn
