Prairie Research InstituteUniversity of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Your internship with Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS) will provide you with knowledge andreal-world experience to prepare you for a graduate program in stream or aquatic ecology. INHS hasmore than 150 years of research on biological resources, particularly aquatic life in Illinois andbeyond (www.inhs.illinois.edu). Fieldwork will be focused on the Jordan Creek in Central-eastIllinois, approximately 40 minutes away from UI campus. The stream has been used as a studymodel system over decades by several well-established ecologists, particularly, Dr. Larimore, whowas a distinguished aquatic ecologist with INHS. The successful applicant will work closely with thestream ecology lab in INHS.
