Reminder: If you are considering retirement in the next 2 years, remember that the factors table used to calculate SURS retirement benefits under the Money Purchase calculation will change effective July 2, 2022. This change is a result of a study required by state statute. View the resources listed below to determine if you are impacted by this change, and for important considerations if you are thinking about retirement.
If you are not considering retirement in the next 2 years, or the Money Purchase formula does not impact you, then you may disregard this email.
Does This Impact Me?
The money purchase factors change will NOT affect you, if you are:
- Not yet eligible for retirement
- Already retired
- Participating in the SURS Retirement Savings Plan (formerly Self-Managed Plan)
- Retiring under the General Formula calculation
- SURS-eligible on or after July 1, 2005 (i.e., not eligible for the Money Purchase formula)
