We’re aware of the news reports that Health Alliance will close many of its health insurance plans by January 1, 2026. We understand this may be difficult news for employees who have had Health Alliance HMO coverage for many years, and you may have questions for which we do not yet have immediate answers.
We’re actively working with the State of Illinois Department of Central Management Services, who administers the state benefit program, to understand what this means and the options that will be available for University of Illinois System's faculty and staff.
