The Department of Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2023 Larine Y. Cowan Make a Difference Award for Leadership in Diversity from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The department is being recognized for its tireless efforts in advocating for inclusion and access at Illinois. It will be honored at the 38th Celebration of Diversity on Friday, November 10, 2023
The Larine Y. Cowan Awards are presented annually to University of Illinois faculty and staff by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in four categories: Advocacy for LGBTQ Affairs, Excellence in Access and accommodations, Leadership in Diversity, and Teaching and Mentoring in Diversity.
