The College of Applied Health Sciences (AHS) is joining Information Technology Partners, a collaborative partnership between college IT units at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. IT Partners, formed in 2018 as a partnership between Gies College of Business and the College of Education, is excited to welcome AHS as its third member.
The IT Partners framework combines two basic ideas: partners in the mission and partners with each other. Technology and data enable our units and the university to deliver on mission goals. Our teams are engaged partners through the lifecycle of ideation, creation, and delivery of academic, research, and public engagement activities. Our teams also partner across organizational boundaries and effectively navigate a diverse service delivery continuum that spans external vendors, system and university-level providers, and local expertise.
The AHS Office of Information Technology and Security (OITS) will officially be renamed as IT Partners @ AHS and welcomed into existing IT Partners virtual teams to foster professional connections, share technical knowledge, develop common practices, and identify opportunities for formal collaboration. Each college retains its own distinct IT unit, budget, and reporting lines.
