Dr. Jennifer Delaney, an associate professor in the Department of Education Policy, Organization & Leadership, has received the Outstanding Article of the Year Award from the Journal of Education Finance. The article, "Guaranteed Tuition Policies and State General Appropriations for Higher Education: A Difference-in-Difference Analysis," was co-written with Tyler Kearney, Ph.D. '14 EPOL. The piece explores the impact of state-level guaranteed tuition laws on state general appropriations for higher education.
Delaney received the same award in 2012 for her 2011 article "State Spending on Higher Education: Testing the Balance Wheel over Time," which was co-authored with William R. Doyle, an associate professor at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University.
