This is a great article I will be using it with my A level English Lang students on Monday morning. However it is interesting to note that 'Websters' would not have the meaning or connotation described to British English speakers. We have the OED/OCD or Collins etc.Just out of interest,is this debate entirely confined to the courts or may the true keepers of language (anyone who speaks English) tell these corps to clear off and stop being ridiculous. In Britain they would be laughed at, I actually thought the article was a gentle leg pull until my partner confirmed he had already heard some of the content.

This makes me laugh, because the writing is so witty. But also makes me ANGRY at the likes of Facebook, Apple and all the mega corporations who have come to dominate our daily lives.. and now, language. Perhaps, one day, every shred of privacy will have vanished. However, it would still be the prerogative of the user / citizen to decide ..when he wants to expose something right?
