In New Jersey, where I have eaten most (and the last) of my philly cheese steaks, most of those at a place in New Brunswick called Greasy Tony's, which cannot still exist, there was NO cheese whiz, only real cheese, always white. in and around Trenton, you don't get pizza, you get tomato pie. Best "pizza" on the east coast. If Vento is serving cheese whiz on his cheese steaks, he deserves scorn primarily for that. Ordering in English? In GT's and still in some Trenton places, it helps if you can order in Italian, as many of their employees were/are FOBs.
