Lead WebSphere / SOA Engineer: Full time, long term, at DOL in DC near Union Station. Noblis is currently seeking a senior level architect with a strong background in WebSphere and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The Software Developer/ Enterprise Architect will be responsible for designing and building middleware code to validate Middleware Services Oriented Architecture concepts and principles. Senior Systems Test Engineer–Test Bed Integration: Long term, full time, in DC. Assist FAA Next Generation (NexGen) Air Transportation System Program in preparing, conducting and evaluating NextGen Test Bed activities. Conduct/Lead FAA systems engineering activities for NextGen programs. Develop integrated plans for demonstration and evaluation of NextGen concepts and operational improvements. Work with stakeholders to identify metrics and target outcomes. Determine evaluation methodologies. Integrate demonstration outcomes with models used to assess performance, cost, and operational capabilities benefits. Analyze system architectures and interfaces based on test and modeling results. Seeking NexGen engineering experience with FAA air to ground systems, communications, and flight processes.
Systems Engineer for Aviation Communication: Long term, full time, in DC. Assist the FAA Next Generation (NexGen) Air Transportation System Program in preparing, conducting and evaluating NextGen Test Bed and Data Communication activities. Support the FAA in the definition, design, transition, and implementation of NextGen programs, specifically FAA Data Communication. Review and design test(s) and modeling scenarios to demonstrate system capabilities and performance levels. Analyze system architectures and interfaces in the context of technology readiness levels to help define operational and system evolution. Assist in developing integrated demonstration plans and determining evaluation criteria. Seeking: knowledge of the air traffic system environment (tower, terminal, en-route) and FAA operations, Understanding of airlines, aviation, and aviation infrastructure is desired, Systems knowledge of air to ground systems, communications and flight processes.
Sr. Staff to Lead Part time Physics / Nuclear Engineer: Part time (up to about 12 hours/week). Partner with client senior nuclear and public safety professionals. Perform and provide independent assessments. Seeking: MS or PhD in related field desirable with minimum 1 - 2 years nuclear / physics experience. Public safety a plus. Ability to reliably conduct independent assessments. Strong relationship management skills.
