Prospective graduate school applicants from historically underserved ethnic-minority populations are invited to apply to the Launch program! Launch allows students an in-person opportunity to explore the Bioinformatics & Genomics Master's Program at the University of Oregon and strengthen their graduate application.
Selected participants will:
• Receive guidance on graduate school application process
• Connect with current students and faculty
• Tour campus and department facilities
• Participate in a bioinformatics workshop, focused on analysis of differentialgene expression (no prior experience or laptop required)
• Improve resume and interview skills
• Network with like-minded peers•Explore Eugene and the Oregon coast
Participants will be provided domestic transportation, lodging, event meals, computer access for workshop, and access to agenda-related activities. See application for further details and requirements to apply.
