The First-Generation Focus (FGF) is a semester-based program designed to develop, support, and empower first-generation college students in their first and second year of college and help them gain greater confidence in the areas of Financial Well-Being, Career Readiness & Persistence, and Personal Wellness. Other opportunities include mentorship, early internships, interview prep workshops, and continuous professional development and networking.
The students that join FGF are freshman and sophomore college students who: identify as first-generation, are currently enrolled at a college or university in the United States, and do not require sponsorship for employment authorization for future employment opportunities.
Applications close January 18, 2022, and the new cohort is set to begin in February. Once the cohort hits capacity, applications will be closed.
