APPLY NOW FOR THE MERGE 2018 AND VISIT ENGINEERING AT ILLINOIS
The Multi-Cultural Engineering Recruitment for Graduate Education (MERGE) program invites promising students like you to visit campus for an all-expense-paid, in-depth view of the outstanding programs and facilities available to graduate students at Illinois. The MERGE 2018 program will be held on the Urbana-Champaign campus September 27-29 (http://publish.illinois.edu/illinois-engr-merge/merge-agenda/). Travel dates will be September 27 and 29, 2018.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident, currently enrolled in or having recently completed an accredited curriculum in engineering or physics. Preference will be given to individuals who will be graduating in the coming year, with a GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 point scale), and individuals who will increase the diversity of the graduate student body.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
To receive full consideration, the materials listed below should be submitted no later than August 15, 2018. We encourage all applicants to submit before leaving for the summer break. If applying after August 15, inquire first by email to find out if space is available. All applicants will be notified by the week of August 20.

- Submit an unofficial transcript.
- Submit a statement (no more than 2 pages) addressing your plans for graduate study, including research interests, career goals, relevant coursework completed, and other educational experiences.
- Submit a detailed resume that outlines research experiences, internships, publications, and leadership experiences.
