The Counseling Center was saddened to learn of the earthquake that occurred this past weekend in Taiwan. The grief and uncertainty that often accompany natural disasters can be overwhelming, and the Counseling Center is here to support students who may be affected.
If you feel you would benefit from speaking to someone, we have a number of trained professionals who offer confidential consultations. We’re located in the Student Services Building at the corner of Sixth and John Streets in Champaign and are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We schedule first time appointments on a same day basis. Our offices open at 7:50 a.m. and we recommend that you call early as our appointments often fill quickly. If you feel that you need to see a counselor immediately, please come to the Counseling Center. If you need to speak with someone after 5 p.m., please call the Crisis Line at 217-359-4141.
