As the University continues to follow social distancing recommendations during the COVID-19 pandemic, we want to update the campus community on our services. We continue to offer remote services as our office is not currently accessible to students.
We are now offering telehealth (online video or audio) counseling. To receive telehealth counseling, state law requires students to physically be in the State of Illinois. If you are in Illinois, please call us at 217-333-3704. If you are outside of Illinois and would like to speak to a counselor, you can reach us at the same number to schedule a phone consultation. This consultation is not therapy, but the counselor you speak with will be able to suggest available resources and brainstorm possible solutions for your current concerns.
Please also note the following:
Students
- After June 1, 2020, we ask that students seeking therapy who are not enrolled this summer be enrolled for both Spring 2020 and Fall 2020.
- Students who have United Healthcare through the university may continue to access online counseling via http://telehelp4students.com. If you access this site through your UnitedHealthcare app, you can bypass the necessary insurance information requirement. If you need help, contact customer service at 217-333-0165 or email insure@illinois.edu.
- If you need to speak with someone after hours, please contact the Rosecrance Crisis Line at 217-359-4141 or call 911.
