Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle, transport, and prepare largemouth bass for surgery
Construct, repair, and maintain field equipment
Assist in field station set-up and take down
Assist in deploying and checking receivers via boat
Prepare field gear for outings
Interact and maintain a professional relationship with tournament participants
Enter and organize data field data appropriately and in a timely manner
Assist with laboratory simulations to measure fish stress response
Organize laboratory samples and maintain lab space
Qualifications:
Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in natural resources, animal biology,
zoology, animal science, or another related field.
Demonstrate the ability to handle responsibilities and work independently and as a
team.
Must be able to learn new skills quickly.
Must have good organizational skills.
Must have effective and professional communication skills
Must be comfortable working long days outside
Familiarity with boats is preferred but not required
Familiarity with small engines is preferred but not required
Experience with fish handling and tagging preferred but not required
