There are four (4) faculty senator positions with three-year terms beginning in fall 2026 and ending in 2029, and one (1) faculty senator position with a partial term beginning immediately and ending in 2027.
USC is the systemwide faculty governance body that connects the three University of Illinois senates. The conference reviews matters with systemwide implications and provides faculty advice and recommendations to the President and the Board of Trustees. USC members attend approximately ten meetings each year, held on a rotating basis across the three universities. Participation by Urbana-Champaign faculty senators ensures campus perspectives are represented in these discussions.
The Senate Committee on Committees is also seeking nominees (senators and non-senators) for Standing Senate Committees and Other Advisory Bodies for 2026–2027. Additional information about these opportunities is available on the Senate website.
Thank you for encouraging and supporting faculty members in your unit to consider these service opportunities.
