Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Paul Redman has accepted the position of Associate Provost for Capital Planning effective October 16th, pending University of Illinois Board of Trustee approval. While pending Board approval, his title will be Interim Associate Provost for Capital Planning. In this position, he will be responsible for strategically planning, stewarding, and managing the physical resource needs of campus, in collaboration with the academic and administrative units.
Paul comes to us with more than thirteen years of resource management experience at the University of Illinois, most recently as Associate Dean for Administration in the College of Fine and Applied Arts, where he has provided steady leadership since 2014. Prior to coming to the University, he served as Associate House Manager at the Metropolitan Opera Association, where his portfolio included capital planning and facilities responsibilities. In addition to both a Bachelor and Master of Music from The Juilliard School, he holds a Master of Business Administration from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business.
