Dear Colleagues,
As you know, Chancellor Jones announced on Friday that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a face covering or practice social distancing indoors or outdoors in university spaces, based on CDC recommendations.
The university is working to update all existing signage to reflect this new guidance. Until new signage is released, please leave the existing signs in place.
Facilities & Services will update signage in stairways, elevators and on internal and external entrances. Units and building managers are responsible for updating all other signage if necessary. The digital signage designs are currently being updated in the existing Box folder and are expected to be finished in a week.
Note: Summer in-person classes and healthcare settings will continue to require all people to wear face coverings and practice social distancing. A few university examples include the McKinley Health Center, the COVID-19 testing sites and the Counseling Center. Face coverings may also be required in university facilities that operate under additional federal and state regulations, such as childcare centers under additional DCFS guidelines.
Sincerely,
Michael T. DeLorenzo
Senior Associate Chancellor for Administration and Operations
