The University of Illinois System recently adopted a new policy to address various considerations of employees working outside of the state of Illinois. The Working Outside of Illinois Policy provides guidance and requirements for both employees and employing units when these arrangements exist. Please note that this policy does not address remote work arrangements and employees should continue to follow their university or system office guidelines for remote working.
A communication on this policy will be provided to both HR professionals and employees system-wide in the near future. Questions should be directed to your university or system human resources office:
