I have received updated guidelines for 2026-2027 sabbatical leaves of absence from the University of Illinois System’s Office of the Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The guidelines are available online at Guidelines for Sabbatical Leaves of Absence. In the “Applications and General Procedures” section on the guidelines page you will find links to the online application and a help document for the application.
Please note: new information related to international travel is now present in the Residence During Sabbatical Leave portion of the form.
The application form is now live. Applications and approvals will all happen online.
