Colleagues,
Integrated and Value-Centered Budgeting (IVCB) is the data-driven budgeting framework used at the University of Illinois to allocate resources to campus units. The IVCB framework requires a comprehensive and systematic approach to the allocation of the University’s state appropriation, tuition, specific fees, and Indirect Cost Recovery (ICR) revenues, as well as cost assessments, University-wide investments, funds for capital renewal, and risk management. More information about IVCB is available on the Budget website.
A critical component of IVCB is the accessibility of data used in the allocation process. Division of Management Information (DMI) has created IVCB dashboards for the campus community to understand the underlying data used in the calculations of the IVCB budget statements. The IVCB Dashboards are a way for colleges and departments to access their data to see a detailed breakdown of budget items. A list of the dashboards available on the DMI Budget Resources webpage is included below. These Tableau dashboards are available to employees with a netid and password.
