Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to announce that I have appointed Scott Genung as acting interim CIO while Greg Gulick is on extended leave. Scott is currently serving as Deputy CIO of IT Operations, overseeing the delivery and support of enterprise applications, infrastructure, managed systems and customer experience services on behalf of the university.
Scott has over 30 years of experience in higher education IT. Before coming to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Scott served in a variety of leadership roles at the University of Chicago, the University of Oregon and Illinois State University.
I am confident that Scott has the full support of his colleagues and that under his leadership, Technology Services will continue to advance the university in its missions during this critical period.
