Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Rebecca McNaught has been selected as our first Executive Director for Project Management & Business Service Quality. She will begin in this position on Sept. 12.
In her new role, McNaught will lead the newly created Strategic Project Management Office in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations. She will be tasked with leading a team that will oversee university-wide initiatives and developments that require project management leadership and coordination, focusing initially on Operational Excellence projects.
McNaught is currently the Senior Director of Enterprise Application Services at Parkland College where she leads the Enterprise Application Analyst team and the Project Management Office. McNaught established the Project Management Office at Parkland and led the development, documentation and implementation of processes and standards, created templates and established metrics. Prior to leading in that role, she spent 12 years working for Administrative Information Technology Services (AITS) at the University of Illinois System.
McNaught’s understanding of the university and experience establishing and leading a project management office will serve her well in this position, and I am confident that she will be a collaborative partner to you all. Please help me to welcome her when she begins as the university’s first Executive Director for Project Management & Business Service Quality next month.
Sincerely,
Michael DeLorenzo
Vice Chancellor for Administration and Operations
