Dear Colleagues,
Since the pandemic began your faculty have faced a myriad of challenges: pivoting to remote teaching, transitioning to online learning, and teaching in socially distanced classrooms. While many faculty may feel stressed, others have come up with novel solutions. We want to hear their stories and ideas; and we need their input to inform new support programs and services beginning as early as Winter Break.
On Wednesday, November 11 (11:30am-1pm), CITL, in collaboration with ATLAS and Technology Services, will host a Faculty Talk-Back session where they can ask questions and share ideas about what’s working, what’s not working, and most importantly what’s needed in preparing for Spring and beyond. CITL Faculty Fellows, Emily Knox (iSchool) and Lawrence Angrave (Computer Science) will moderate the session.
Please encourage your faculty to participate in this opportunity to have their voices heard. They may attend for any part of the 90-minute live forum via https://go.illinois.edu/faculty_input_registration, or they may submit questions and ideas online at https://go.illinois.edu/faculty_input_survey. Every effort will be made to personally answer each question or request for assistance.
We congratulate you and your faculty on the leadership and care shown to our students during these extraordinary times. Thank you for sharing this message with your departments.
Sincerely,
Michel Bellini
Director, Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning
