Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to announce that Brian Bundren has been promoted to the position of Assistant Provost for Capital Planning effective April 16, pending University of Illinois Board of Trustees approval. While pending board approval, his title will be Interim Assistant Provost for Capital Planning.
In this position, he will be responsible for strategically planning, stewarding and managing the physical resource needs of campus in collaboration with academic and administrative units, reporting to the Associate Chancellor/Vice Provost for Budget and Resource Planning.
Brian is a licensed Architect in the State of Illinois and is a LEED Accredited Professional with nearly 20 years of professional experience, including 11 years at the University of Illinois, seven of which he was a senior planner in F&S Capital Programs. Most recently, he served as Associate Director for Capital Planning in the Office of the Provost.
Brian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
