Dear Deans, Directors and Department Heads,
Updated guidelines for university-related travel abroad are now available on the Office of the Provost COVID-19 Policy webpage. All university-related travel, domestic and abroad, continues to be restricted and requires pre-approval from Unit Executive Officers (UEO). For financial reasons and the well-being of the traveler and our community, permission to travel should only be granted in a limited number of circumstances.
Approval of travel abroad requires completion of the Faculty and Staff Travel Abroad petition. This petition assists UEOs in understanding conditions at the destination(s) and expected support. It also notifies International Safety and Security of potential travel abroad and enables provision of additional information and support to the traveler. An example of the petition is attached.
