Dear deans, directors and department heads,
Later this morning I will be sending this message to all instructional faculty. It includes key findings from the Fall 2020 Student Experience Survey. The survey has provided an important opportunity to listen to our students and has also provided many tangible action items for us to consider. Please review the message, consider the feedback and think proactively and critically about how you we can further maximize engagement opportunities and learning experiences for our students in your colleges, departments and units.
I hope we can use this feedback to start a rich dialogue. I intend to discuss this topic at the next Council of Deans meeting. There, I expect to hear feedback on how you intend to make use of this listening opportunity to implement change to benefit our students and advance their learning during these stressful and challenging times.
