I hope this message finds you well. As we reflect on the past fiscal year, I am pleased to share with you the key accomplishments from Illinois Human Resources (IHR) for FY25. Our team continues to demonstrate innovation, adaptability, collaboration, flexibility, and inclusivity in all that we do.
The FY25 Key Accomplishments from Illinois Human Resources are organized into several strategic categories, each representing our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement:
Service
Enhanced service delivery through innovative tools and programs. IHR launched Instant Insights, an on-demand learning platform for SMART goal setting and performance conversations and introduced an Executive Coaching Cohort to strengthen leadership. Additionally, new Organizational Development Services were implemented to improve team effectiveness and organizational health.
Compensation & Career Architecture
IHR advanced workforce planning and transparency through a key initiative: finalizing the HR Career Architecture (HRCA) framework. This new career progression framework aligns HR job titles and descriptions across the campus. HR vacancies and appointment changes now follow this standardized structure, ensuring consistency and clarity in career progression, enabling more equitable and strategic talent management.
Illinois Value Proposition (IVP)
In FY25, we strengthened Illinois’ employer brand by launching an enhanced IVP Website featuring over 180 resources, a Total Compensation Calculator, and an IVP Builder tool to support workplace satisfaction and engagement. We also celebrated excellence by highlighting award-winning faculty whose innovation and impact resonates across campus and beyond, while engagement initiatives such as Anniversary Awards, digital certificates, and a merchandise store fostered connection and recognition.
Business Continuity & Continuous Improvement
We strengthened organizational resilience through key initiatives. “Guidance on the Go” delivered 24/7 access to compliance and performance training for supervisors. The Faculty Phased Retirement Program offers a structured path for gradual transitions with online resources. We extended labor agreements with NTFC and AFSCME to reinforce stability and partnered with the Chancellor’s Office on additional five-year reviews of Vice Chancellors to promote accountability.
Reporting & Analytics
In FY25, we advanced data-driven decision-making by implementing campus-wide surveys that captured diverse perspectives and informed strategic priorities. These insights created continuous feedback loops, fostering transparency, and improvement across the university.
These accomplishments reflect our ongoing dedication to enhancing service delivery, advancing strategic goals, and fostering a positive organizational culture. We look forward to building on these successes in the coming year and thank you for your continued partnership and support.
