Dear Colleagues,
As we approach a new academic year, we would like to take the opportunity to share changes to our Fall Orientation/Welcome Days schedule of events. One of our welcome traditions, Quad Day, will focus specifically on registered student organizations as participants. This shift will mean that campus departments will not be able to register for a table at Quad Day. However, campus departments will have the opportunity to participate in the Welcome Celebration, coordinated by New Student Programs.
The Welcome Celebration is an opportunity for new students at Illinois to interact with Student Affairs, campus offices, and academic departments, to learn about resources they offer for their success. This is a great opportunity for staff to interact with new students.
The Welcome Celebration will take place on Friday, August 20th in Lot 31, located at the corner of 1st Street and Kirby. (Due to Covid-19 Phase 5 guidelines and upcoming changes, event time and setup information will be shared in early July).
To participate, please complete the Welcome Celebration Office/Department participation form, linked below. The deadline for this form is Friday, August 6th!
