Dear Colleagues,
As we begin the Spring 2021 semester, we continue to be operating under Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations based on the governor’s Restore Illinois plan. We also continue to follow guidance from the Champaign-Urbana Public Health District. See more information about mitigation restrictions here. During this time, no in-person meetings, programs or events are allowed except activities related to official instruction or testing. This includes Registered Student Organizations.
We will continue to follow this guidance until these restrictions are lifted or changed. If anything changes, you will be notified.
The university has also not yet made any decisions about summer campus, events or other non-academic programs. Please continue to plan but know that we will not be able to approve any events until there is a change in state and local restrictions. We anticipate making an official announcement about summer events and programs by March 31.
The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and the community in which live continues to be our top priority. All of our decisions related to events will continue to be guided by the directives from the State of Illinois and advice of our local public health officials.
