Dear colleagues:
The Office of the Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs is seeking nominations for the OpEd Project Public Voices Fellowship 2021-2022. We just concluded the second year of The OpEd Project Public Voices Fellowship and the cohort of 20 has been very successful in publishing op ed pieces, as well as being invited to speak on radio programs and other forms of media. The program is open to all tenured faculty at the three universities, and the cost is fully covered by my office.
Please nominate individuals you think would benefit from this opportunity and share with your networks or others who may also be in a position to nominate faculty. Please submit nominations by May 28, 2021, using the form located at https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/66572855. Nominees will be contacted by my office and asked to complete an application form as part of the selection process.
A brief overview of the program can be found at https://www.vpaa.uillinois.edu/academic_affairs_programs/public_voices_fellowship. Interested faculty members are invited to attend a ZOOM information session on Monday, May 17 from 3:30-4:30 pm. Please have faculty register for the information session at: https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/725272302.
If you have any questions about the program, please contact Sarah Zehr (szehr@uillinois.edu) or Sonja Bean (sbean@uillinois.edu). Thank you for your help in promoting this important program.
Best,
Barbara J. Wilson
