Deans, Directors, and Department Heads,
State law and university policy require the completion of an annual disclosure of non-university activities. Federal regulations also govern the disclosure and management of potential conflicts of commitment and interest. In accordance with these requirements, on September 14, 2026, faculty and academic staff will be directed via massmail to START myDisclosures, to complete an annual Report of Non-University Activities (RNUA).
Deadlines for AY2026-2027 RNUA Process:
September 28, 2026: RNUAs due for department review
October 19, 2026: RNUAs due for college (or 2nd level) review
November 9, 2026: All reviews should be completed

Please notify the COI administrators, coi@illinois.edu, if you, as Unit Executive Officer, or members of your staff who will act as assistants do not have reviewer-level access to START myDisclosures.
Recusal
If you have a conflict of interest in reviewing an individual’s disclosure, for example, a family or business relationship with that individual, you must recuse yourself. Please notify COI administrators, coi@illinois.edu.

Information sessions covering the university's policy on conflicts, guidelines for disclosure, and START myDisclosures, the electronic system used to collect RNUAs, will be offered for disclosers and reviewers.
