I’m writing to share some exciting news: Dr. Jerry Dávila, the Jorge Paulo Lemann Chair in Brazilian History, will become the next leader of the Humanities Research Institute at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign on August 16, pending approval by the Board of Trustees.
Dr. Dávila is one of our university’s most accomplished faculty members, and I am delighted to have such a highly regarded scholar leading the Institute’s next chapter. Read the full announcement here.
