I am pleased to share updates to Provost’s Communications for academic year 2026-27.
Changes have been made to Provost’s Communication 5 to include a set number of letters required as part of “Q” appointment documentation (see Section 3.1 and attachment 1).
Additionally, Provost’s Communication 6 has been updated to include additional language noting the difference between administrative-based and academic merit-based appointments, and the ability to hold one of each appointment simultaneously (see Sections 1, 3.3, and 4.1.3). Language has been added to Section 2 to clarify the requirement that endowments at or above the minimum gift amount require provost pre-approval.
Minor updates have been made to the following communications: 2, 5, 9, 11, 13, and 26.
