I am pleased to inform you that the University has modified Provost Communication 9, Promotion and Tenure to include new information on the Public Engagement Research Option (PERO), which faculty members may select as a pathway for tenure and promotion (PERO; see II.C.8 of Provost Communication 9). Additional information regarding this option is described in the PERO Guide, along with the sample MOU, and template letters for soliciting evaluations from colleagues within and outside of academia.
