Dear Colleagues,
I am delighted to introduce Martin (Marty) Paulins as the Visiting Director of Parking. His appointment begins on Monday, August 13, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
Mr. Paulins comes to Illinois with over 20 years of management experience, and has spent the last 10 years as Director of Transportation and Parking at Ohio University in Athens, OH. A graduate of Ohio University, where he earned a B.A. in business administration, Mr. Paulins also served 12 years as a U.S. Army Officer in the Transportation Company, and was deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm as Company Commander (Captain) of the 1486th Ohio National Guard Transportation unit.
The extensive experience Mr. Paulins brings to campus, including implementing new technologies, developing strategic plans, and managing parking construction projects, will be critical as we move forward with our Parking Master Plan.
