On Wednesday, July 3, Gov. J.B. Pritzker will speak at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to highlight the impact of the Rebuild Illinois capital construction program on the U of I System and our state’s public universities. Presidents of sister universities around the state also are expected to attend, along with Deputy Gov. Jesse Ruiz, an Urbana-Champaign alumnus.
The event is scheduled to begin at noon Wednesday behind Altgeld Hall, 1409 W. Green St., in the area between Altgeld and the Illini Union.
Chancellor Robert Jones and I also will speak during the brief, 30-minute program, and I hope you can join us to thank Gov. Pritzker for his support of the U of I System and higher education across Illinois.
Tim Killeen, President
University of Illinois System
