Dear Colleagues:
Prominently placed as Goal 2 in the Illinois Strategic Plan 2018-2023 is the commitment to provide transformative learning experiences for students. Advancing this priority, the campus launched an undergraduate Student Success Initiative with a kick-off event on September 16th involving 275 participants from across campus.
Information about the Student Success Initiative, a partnership between Academic and Student Affairs, is available here: https://go.illinois.edu/studentsuccess. Input from all campus stakeholders is welcomed though the website.
To communicate the motivation, strategy and plans for this Initiative, we are happy to offer a short presentation to faculty and staff in unit meetings. Ollie Watts Davis, Professor of Voice and Provost’s Fellow, is a member of the Student Success Initiative Steering Committee and leading our communication effort. She, or a member of the committee, is available to provide an overview to groups interested in learning more about the Initiative.
