Dear Colleagues,
For those of you who have been part of the university’s transition to online instruction, we know that these past few weeks have raised challenges that no one anticipated at the start of the semester. We appreciate all of your efforts to help assure the continuity of instruction for our students.
Soon we will be sending separate massmails to faculty and students (available online, but not yet shared) apologizing for difficulties they may have experienced using exam proctoring software called Proctorio. Incorrect instructions were distributed that, if followed, may have caused problems for some exams.
Amended instructions have been created and posted online. We ask that all instructors who may have previously downloaded Proctorio instructions to make sure that they are using the most recent documentation when preparing their exams.
Thank you for your leadership in these unprecedented times.
Sincerely,
Sarah Eichhorn
Assistant Provost for Educational Innovation
