Dear Colleagues,
We wanted to make you aware of teaching and learning resources that are available to our campus community. Working with experts from across campus, including Tech Services, Student Affairs, and faculty and staff from the academic colleges, the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) has developed and compiled teaching and learning resources for instructors and students.
For instructors, CITL has crafted a set of resources to assist instructors transitioning courses to online or blended formats. Our experts in pedagogy, media, and educational technologies are developing and refining these support tools to address critical teaching issues, such as student engagement, assessment strategies, content production, and more. Instructors also have access to the new Illinois Remote website, developed by CITL and Technology Services, which aggregates the many campus resources and policies surrounding online instruction.
For students, CITL has curated a set of tools and strategies to help students be successful in their courses. In addition, all students will receive an ebook copy of “Teach Yourself How to Learn.” An email message going out to students making them aware of these resources is appended below.
Sincerely,
Kevin Pitts
Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education
