On August 19, 2024, the Office for Access & Equity will launch Inclusive Hiring at Illinois, the university’s new training program for search committees and others involved in employee recruitment efforts. This new training program replaces DiversityEdu, the vendor-supplied training that we have used since 2015.
Inclusive Hiring at Illinois was developed here on our campus in collaboration with faculty and staff subject matter experts. It consists of a series of modules that provide each user with knowledge and skills directly relevant to their role in the recruitment and hiring process. For most search committee members, the training will take about one hour to complete. EEO officers, vice chairs, diversity advocates, and hiring managers will have additional modules geared toward their roles and duties.
We will continue to adapt and evolve these training modules in response to feedback from you and your colleagues, ensuring that the program remains effective and responsive to the university’s needs.
