We’ll be sending this email message to all faculty, staff and students tomorrow about transitioning to the Illinois App for COVID-19 Building Access Status.
This operational shift is intended to keep the most-used feature of the Safer Illinois app while making it easier for students (using one app instead of several) and more efficient for university operations. We’re hopeful this shift will also provide better support and customer service for our faculty, staff and students if they encounter any issues or questions.
The COVID-19 Boarding Pass will continue to be an alternate way faculty, staff and students can display their Building Access Status. In the future, we plan to move away from the Safer Illinois app, but, for now, it will remain operational. If you have any questions or concerns about building access procedures, please visit the Building Access page of the COVID-19 website or email covid-19@illinois.edu.
